A NEW ERA IN THE LAWRENCE HEIGHTS NEIGHBOURHOOD

The Lawrence Heights neighbourhood is currently home to residents that share a rich and vibrant community life.

When revitalization plans began for the neighbourhood, the top priority was to accomplish this in a way that benefits the existing community while creating new housing opportunities enriched with world-class public amenities.

With a total of over 4,000 new residential units planned, consisting of townhomes and condominiums, there will also be new affordably priced rental units that will provide another excellent option for families in the area.

The community redevelopment will also include many initiatives that will help local families. During Phase 1, developer partners Context and Metropia have already contributed $500,000 to establish the “Building Our Future: Limitless Heights Scholarship” to provide residents with financial support for post-secondary education. They’ve further committed to providing $3.5 million towards resident employment and training.

To date, 80 scholarships valued at $295,175.35 have already been awarded to neighbourhood residents, and 35 new jobs have been created for area residents.
